LOULÉ MUNICIPAL MARKET
In the heart of the city stands the Municipal Market building, traditionally referred to as "A Praça". Opened in 1908, the construction of this building was the landmark architectural project of the first decade of the 20th century in the Municipality of Loulé.
In the neo-Arab style, it has four halls and four access doorways, and the aim was for its magnitude to symbolise the size and prosperity of the Municipality. Given its location and characteristics, this building is the main symbol of the city of Loulé, and was awarded the Tourism Prize in 2008.
